Modified on Thu, 18 May, 2023 at 5:07 AM

NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It is a short-range wireless technology that allows devices to communicate and exchange data with each other when they are in close proximity (typically within a few centimeters). NFC technology enables convenient and secure interactions between devices, such as making contactless payments, transferring files, pairing devices, and accessing information with a simple tap or wave.

NFC is commonly used in various applications, including mobile payment systems like Google Wallet and Apple Pay, transportation systems for contactless ticketing, sharing information between devices (e.g., sharing contacts, photos, or web links), and connecting Bluetooth devices with a quick tap.

Overall, NFC provides a seamless and secure way for devices to communicate and share data wirelessly, making it a versatile technology used in many modern devices and applications.
